In The United States, local brick marketing councils are signing up home builders to a Brick Value Builder Program.

A Brick Value Builder program is a marketing drive to provide homebuyers with fairly priced all brick homes. This begins by identifying a maximum percentage increase when one upgrades from the most inexpensive siding (vinyl) to brick. This percentage will vary from state to state. Since late 1997, the Brick Marketing Council of Illinois has 56 homebuilders to date who have agreed to offer all brick homes for no more than 7% over the cost of a similar vinyl clad home.
